Spa Siam was created from exotic botanical extracts, herbs, essential oils, crushed roots and natural ingredients, such as rice bran oil, lemongrass oil, and jasmine oil.

Their high quality products are designed to purify, detoxify and replenish the body, according to the manufacturer and those that love this line.

We were introduced to these products through the American distributor, Mark Jackson.

Mark tells the story of a family company in Bangkok, Thailand that is in its fifth decade manufacturing and marketing these excellent spa products.

They are sold around the world and the products are highly popular in India, the Mid-East, Asia, and Europe. They are relatively new to the Americas and are showing explosive growth in salons, spas and boutiques. We can see why.

We were initially attracted to the delightful packaging and presentation of the line; and hooked by the feel of the products on the skin and their sensual bouquets of fragrances.

We tested three of the products: Pomogranate Jasmine Hand Cream, Red Tea Foam Face Wash and Red Tea Anti-Wrinkle Moist Day Cream.

Other products not tested carry seductive names like Mangosteen Shisho Conditioner, Jasmine Waterlilly Shampoo, Lemongrass Apricot Face Scrub and Green Tea Ginger Foot Soak.

We did receive and enjoy a travel kit of shampoos, conditioners which included an Oatmeal Rice Face Scrub, Rice Extract Body Milk and a Shisho Green Tea Cleanser. The products were ensconced in an attractive wicker box and were the smaller travel sizes.

Each product in the travel kit had botanical fragrances, such as Bergamot Fruit Oil and Green Tea. Blogs and spas that carry these products say the travel boxes are very popular with men, as well as women.

Pomegranate Jasmine Hand Cream

Everyone looks for a hand cream that goes quickly into dry chapped hands and restores their supple and youthful appearance. A good hand cream needs to keep the hands smooth without leaving a residue.

This hand cream does what you want a good cream to do. It's wonderfully rich without being greasy and leaves the hands silky smooth. Like their other products, the hand cream is an antioxidant.

The hand cream contains ample portions of jasmine oil, apricot kernel oil and Punica Granatum Extract. Punica Granatum is another way of saying pomegranate and this extract is a concentrated antioxidant.

This is a hand cream that packs a health benefit and liked as much by our men as by our women testers.

Red Tea Foam Face Wash

Right off the mark, we liked the dispenser for this face wash. It came out of the foam nozzle perfectly every time and never gummed up.

This lightweight cleanser is perfect for shower or morning cleansing. On the face, the foam evolves into a rich lather with heavenly fragrance.

Our male testers immediately used it as a shave cream with excellent results and our women like the richness of the cleanser.

Red Tea contains a substantial amount of a very special enzyme, superoxide dismutase (SOD) which reins in free radical damage to the skin. Red tea is known as the anti-aging tea and also contains natural antioxidants which are readily absorbed by the skin.

Several of our testers have lengthy histories as cosmetics gurus and makeup artists and were much impressed with this face wash.

Red Tea Anti-Wrinkle Moist Day Cream

You washed with red tea in the morning; why not carry the benefits to your skin throughout the day? This day cream is light going on the skin and light traveling with you.

It contains no SPF, but has a smooth feel on the face and is entirely invisible. The cream contains shiso leaf extract, which is a basil-like anti-inflammatory and rich in omega-3 fatty acids - essential for the health of skin but which cannot be produced by the body.

The cream also contains generous amounts of shea butter - an excellent, if not expensive, emollient and moisturizer.

Our testers found the fragrance light and non-intrusive. The product is non-oily and transparent upon application. We rate this day cream high amongst spa face creams.

Our testers loved this spa collection and all expressed the determination to continue with some of the products now that the testing session is over. Every tester said they want to explore more products in this huge and diverse collection.

Why wouldn't they? The absolutely gorgeous catalog that enumerates the collection is some sixty pages long and filled with dynamic photos.

On salon shelves, the Spa Siam collection looks like money and makes every other line look dull.
