Imagine if, one year, you saw your favorite rock band at a stadium filled with cheering fans and experienced their performance within the cocoon of an awesome light show, then, the next year, went to a cozy club and saw them again.
This time, they were representing their own songs and label and they invited you to come up close and enjoy a marvelous acoustic set. Need to know how they did a riff or wrote a particular song? Just ask, they will be delighted to show and tell.
That is exactly our experience when the best of our craft, Tony and Riccardo Altieri came to Salon Rubio in Bellevue, Washington on April 28th, 2009.
They were accessible, charming and packed more education and technique into three hours than one sees in an entire weekend of hair shows. It was dazzling, dizzying and definitely memorable.
Those that attended seemed to realize that these brothers were there to promote their new Altieri Brothers Tuscan Oil line and the, now, two years old Power Hair line and that they would soon be caught back up into the cycle of big stage shows and world travel - like their Matrix days.
They charmed the attendees as if they were royalty.
The boys are tanned and muscular: blonde Tony and a newly shorn Riccardo looked rested and fit. They cut two lovely models and packed more usable technique and common sense hair wisdom into those two cuts and styles than seen on a dozen or more cuts.
They appeared to be tuning up for bigger things and were pulling ideas out of their kits with an eye to the future.
A little background on the brothers for those who were in a coma and missed the last three years of hair news:
In their fifteen years as the international platform team for Matrix, Riccardo and Tony Altieri conducted over 3,000 live educational events, assisted in the development of hundreds of products and co-created the Craft cutting system.
At the apex of their Matrix careers, they stepped off the main stage and went, as they say, a different direction.
The Altieri Brothers, in conjunction with famed chemist, Henri Mastey, created the Power Hair product line and, recently the Tuscan Oil line to continue to work with the best products science and art can create.
This author had, in past years, been privileged to be on the Mastey team and worked with Henri Mastey. Henri lived in the lab and took the team members in at every occasion to show the latest color or product development. He is a generation ahead of the industry.
With that partnership of world-class chemist and top-tier stylists, we get a world-beater product line that Capelli d'Oro recommends.
